Fluidotronica employees contribute to Operation Red Nose.
As in previous years, Fluidotronica employees have joined together to contribute to a charitable cause in this holiday season. The cause of this year was the "Operation Red Nose", a Private Institution of Social Solidarity that since 2002 brings joy to the hospitalized child, their relatives and health professionals. The Fluidotronica team made a purchase of 57 red noses.
The Operation Red Nose is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity that since 2002 brings joy to the hospitalized child, its relatives and health professionals, through the art and image of Doctor Palhaço promoting, every week, visits to the pediatric wards of several hospitals of the parents. This service is offered to hospitals and financed through donations, private and business, campaigns and merchandising.
Doctor Clowns of the Operation Red Nose are professionals from different artistic areas with great ability to play and improvise. However, a hospital is not a circus. Acting in a pediatric ward requires competence, professionalism and great sensitivity. It is the responsibility of the association to train and maintain the high quality of the artists. Today, Operation Red Nose has a team of 23 professionals who, in addition to all the specific training, also have continuous training of procedures and routines related to the hospital. Operation Red Nose currently visits more than 40,000 children per year in 90 pediatric services from 14 hospitals in Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra and Braga.
But the number that counts the most is the number 1: 1 look at a time; 1 heart at a time; 1 smile at a time.
