Fluidotronica Mascot – Doll.

Here is the furry and curious story of our mascot.

In 2022, Fluidotronica gained a special mascot that arrived in a completely unexpected way. It all started with a cat that stubbornly surrounded the company's facilities. With her grace and tender gaze, she began to captivate the attention of some staff who quickly mobilized to take care of her, providing a comfortable bed outside, food and water. After the April 25th holiday, we arrived at FT and the bed didn't have the usual cat, but in addition to her, there were also 4 newborn kittens, with their eyes still tightly closed, protecting themselves from the sunlight.

For the protection of the kittens, we have decided to share our warm and protected facilities with the mother cat and kittens. Fortunately, the cat reacted very well and didn't show any defensive reaction when she saw us surrounding her little ones. She quickly became known as Boneca the cat and is still our company mascot today! We decided to take all the kittens to the Vet to safeguard their health conditions and we were told that the little kittens were not able to breastfeed because Boneca had mastitis that needed to be treated with antibiotics and some clinical care. The story took a challenging turn that required a lot of coordination and collaboration because we needed to ensure veterinary care for Boneca, feeding the puppies with powdered milk given in small syringes and taking turns taking care of the kittens at night. Unfortunately, one of the kittens did not survive but the other three grew up and at 2 months old were adopted by company employees.

After this adventure of motherhood, Boneca managed to recover her health, with a few episodes of asthma attacks in between and a lot of support from the fantastic and professional team at the São Miguel Veterinary Clinic. After the ‘forced hosting’ due to the growth of her puppies, Boneca gained the affection of our entire team and became very attached to the team. Nowadays, he has his own special studio apartment next to the management office, with a privileged view of the factory floor where he has his bed, food and drinks.
In addition to being overweight, the Doll who loves to surround the managing partners, here there is only excess pampering. She became a cuddle buddy, official nap supervisor, and food-begging expert.
Having a pet on our premises has undoubtedly improved the work environment, increasing levels of relaxation, collaboration and also affection, which is very beneficial for our team. We thank Management for allowing us to be a pet-friendly company.

The story of Boneca proves that industrial automation can have a feline touch - and a lot of affection!
